New look enforcement manual goes live

Changes to the new Enforcement Guide (EG), which applies from 28 August alongside the Decisions Procedures and Penalties Manual (DEPP), will be subject to at least 28 days consultation, and approval by a committee of the FSA board, the regulator confirmed in PS07/12. The two documents replace DEC and ENF. Significant departures from policy in EG will still undergo full consultation while the proposed general guidance revision will be published on the FSA website for the minimum four weeks.
