The Constitution of the Republic of Angola (CRA) currently in force was enacted in September 2008 and came into force on 5 February 2010 upon being published in the official gazette (Diário da República). The CRA is structured around certain basic principles such as the rule of law and separation of state powers between the legislative, executive and judicial independent branches.
