Certificate of inadequacy - Confiscation - Assets - Schedule of assets - Evidence - Criminal Justice Act 1988, section 83 - Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, section 23.

The applicant sought a certificate of inadequacy under section 83 of the Criminal Justice Act 1988 following a confiscation order of £655,425 made against her in January 2017. She had been convicted of benefit and identity fraud and was described as having been, "a thoroughly dishonest person for many, many years".
