Rules
1. Requests for annulment and enforcement of arbitral awards are increasingly decided using the same standards
While differences remain, arbitration laws around the world have increasingly converged on the same set of rules for the annulment of arbitration awards. These rules are also found in the New York Convention with respect to recognising and enforcing arbitration awards. As a result, while it is still essential to look at local rules, it is now possible to speak generally about common standards used when evaluating challenges to arbitration awards.
