In US reinsurance policies do not have a standard Full Reinsurance Clause. Sometimes - but not often - reinsurance policies contain a “follow the form” clause that is similar in effect to the “as original.” Matters related to the construction of the follow the form clauses that have come before the US courts are discussed below.
