7.001 We have already seen how technical measures can be used to guard against piracy.1 Technology can certainly assist in the fight against the other crimes considered in to 5, nearly all of which depend on either a misrepresentation in the bill of lading (or other document), or impersonation of the person entitled to take delivery of the cargo. Both could be made more difficult by technological advances.
