The legislative framework for arbitration in Norway is the Norwegian Arbitration Act 2004. It applies to all arbitrations where the arbitration is carried out in Norway. The Act is closely based upon the UNCITRAL Model Law. Norway is also a signatory to the 1923 Geneva Protocol on Arbitration Clauses.
