The legislative framework for international commercial arbitration in Mexico is contained in Book Five, Title Four of the Codigo de Commercio. Provisions of this law apply to both domestic and international arbitration when the place of arbitration is within Mexico. Mex-ico’s arbitration law is based upon the UNCITRAL Model Law with only minor mod-ifications.
