Delivery

(A) Introduction

5.1 Two aspects of the bill of lading are considered in this chapter: when and to whom is the carrier obliged to deliver the goods referred to in the bill of lading; and when and to whom is the carrier entitled to deliver the goods referred to in the bill? Put another way: who is entitled to demand delivery1 of the goods from the carrier and to whom may the carrier safely deliver the goods?
