The owners chartered the subject vessel to the charterers under an amended NYPE 1993 form for a single time charter trip carrying paddy rice from Rio Grande to Veracruz. A dispute arose in relation to the final hire accounts and was referred to arbitration in London. The president of the LMAA appointed an LMAA Full Member under the LMAA Small Claims Procedure 2021. The owners were represented by their defence club while the charterers were represented by solicitors.
