High Court refuses to intervene on emergency relief

The claimant’s application arose from an arbitration in the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), in which the claimant sought payment under a guarantee of sums due to the claimant from the trust owning the defendant’s debtor company. The claimant applied to LCIA for the appointment of an emergency arbitrator in order to prevent the trustee from disposing of the trust’s assets, but the application was rejected.
